At IOP Services, we offer comprehensive group therapy programs for adults, serving as the only clinician-led and independently operated mental health Intensive Outpatient Program in Alabama. We do not address cases where the main concern is a substance use disorder, given the abundance of other specialized options. Our program delivers in-depth therapy for 3 hours per day, over 3 days each week. At its heart is group therapy, an approach that has demonstrated effectiveness for more than 80 years. This is enhanced through supplementary learning materials, psychiatric knowledge, and various evidence-supported methods. Most participants continue with their usual individual therapy sessions while involved. Enrollment depends on how life difficulties are impacting you, not on a particular diagnosis. We extend both in-person and virtual services in Birmingham and Madison, Alabama, with in-person groups available in the morning (9am-12pm) and afternoon (1pm-4pm) on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays, and virtual groups scheduled on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays from 9-12pm, 1-3pm, and 5-8pm.
Overview of IOP Services Programs
At IOP Services, we provide detailed group therapy for adults, being the sole clinician-owned and independent mental health Intensive Outpatient Program in Alabama. We avoid serving individuals whose chief issue is a substance use disorder, as numerous other resources exist for that. Our services feature intensive therapy for 3 hours daily, across 3 days per week. Group therapy serves as the primary element, a technique that has been reliably effective for 80 years. It is augmented with teaching aids, mental health education, and assorted evidence-based practices. The majority of clients keep up with their regular individual therapy while participating. Admission is based on the influence of problems on your life, rather than a specific diagnosis. We offer both on-site and remote treatment in Birmingham and Madison, Alabama, including morning (9am-12pm) and afternoon (1pm-4pm) in-person sessions on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays, as well as virtual sessions on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays from 9-12pm, 1-3pm, and 5-8pm.
