Susan Long operates as a therapist with a Master's qualification and is a board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner. As the founder and owner of The Rested Mind, established in 2010, she aims to serve the South Shore area of Massachusetts. We hold a partnership with the Archdiocese of Boston, providing assistance to survivors of abuse. We take pride in caring for active service members, veterans (Tricare is accepted), and public safety professionals including police, fire departments, and first responders. Beginning with a focus on children, we have extended our services to encompass patients up to age 65 (exclusions apply for Medicare and Medicaid). To accommodate varied lifestyles, we operate from 9 AM to 10 PM Monday to Thursday, 10 AM to 4 PM on Fridays, and 10 AM to 6 PM on Sundays, remaining closed on Saturdays.
Our Origins
Susan Long serves as a therapist with advanced Master's training and is a board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner. She established and leads The Rested Mind, beginning operations in 2010 to address needs in the South Shore of Massachusetts. We foster a connection with the Archdiocese of Boston, delivering support for those affected by abuse. We feel privileged to treat active military personnel, former service members (Tricare welcomed), and essential workers like police officers, firefighters, and emergency responders. Initially centered on young patients, we have grown our scope to include individuals up to 65 years old (with no coverage for Medicare or Medicaid). For flexibility, we are accessible from 9 AM to 10 PM on Monday through Thursday, 10 AM to 4 PM on Fridays, and 10 AM to 6 PM on Sundays, while taking Saturdays off.
